Barry Costello MSc. Mindfulness-based Interventions, BA Applied Addiction Studies has a background in addiction counselling and works in both the community and residential setting.
Barry has been practising meditation for many years and has been teaching in many different settings since 2014. He has delivered Mindfulness-Based Addiction Recovery programmes to people along the continuum of care and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Programmes to staff teams including Rutland Centre, SAOL Project and TUSLA Child & Family Agency.
He is also a core team member on the M.Sc. in Mindfulness-based Interventions in UCD. In addition to his Masters studies at UCD, Barry has has attended training with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and training with Paul Gilbert Compassion Focused Therapy.
Barry continues to develop his practice with regular attendance at retreats and training led by world-renowned teachers including Marjó Oosterhoff, Kevin Griffin, John Peacock, Martin Aylward, Choden
His main interest of Mindfulness is working with people who have addiction issues, these 8-week programmes are delivered within services and are not currently being ran privately unless requested. If you or your service are interested please contact.
