Colette Kealy worked as a vet in small animal practice for c. 20 years, spent three years as a community development worker and is now working in further education.
She completed a MSc in Mindfulness Based Interventions in the UCD School of Psychology and a Diploma in yoga teaching from Yoga Therapy Ireland.
Colette regularly attends retreats and further trainings, eg with Boston Trauma Center, University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre and Bangor University. She is currently studying yoga therapy with the Institute of Yoga Therapy in the Netherlands.
Colette teaches Mindfulness as an elective module to undergraduate students in UCD, and on the UCD Masters in Mindfulness Programme. She is currently teaching mindfulness to groups of people with chronic pain as part of a research project with UCD and the Mater Hospital.
Colette has a particular interest in cultivating a befriending of oneself and the body through mindful movement/gentle yoga and offers this to individuals and to small groups.
