As part of her M.Sc. MBI programme, Fiona facilitated the MBSR programme for members of the Blackrock
community in Newpark Comprehensive School.
For Fiona, the M.Sc. MBI (Mindfulness-Based Interventions) has deepened her self-awareness and continues to do so on a daily basis. She was the winner of the Mindfulness Award 2018/19. This award is presented annually to the student with the best performance in the M.Sc. in Mindfulness-Based Interventions programme.
She also delivers the MBSR at the Blackrock Education Centre for adults in the community. She has a background in Education and uses the .b programme (MiSP) in her mindfulness work with second-level students in Newpark School.
Fiona has been practicing hatha yoga and meditation for twenty years.
Holistic treatments and therapies such as Amatsu, Craniosacral Therapy, Shen Therapy and
Homeopathy resonate deeply with her. She uses holistic dentists, holistic orthodontists and a
GP who is a herbalist to support her well-being. Fiona continues to learn about the continuous
mind, body and emotion connection and the connectedness within the body.
Fiona is registered with Teaching Council of Ireland and the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland and is committed to developing her mindfulness practice. She attends silent retreats when the opportunities arise and adheres to the Good Practice Guidelines.
She is a daily sea swimmer, enjoys fashion and interior design tremendously and is always ready to cook wholesome food.
