Teresa has worked in the caring profession for over 20 years. Teresa is most active in the field of addiction and rehabilitation, particularly in designated socially-disadvantaged communities. She actively works on the frontline in the community and voluntary sector providing a wide range of therapeutic services. She is currently the manager of the Spellman Centre rehabilitation services. Teresa's background working in the caring profession led her to further interest. In 2012 she began to develop an interest in meditating. She has been practicing mindfulness ever since. She was a student in UCD studying MBSR and received her MSc in September 2019. Since 2015 Teresa has received a number of awards from the South Inner City Task Force, South West Inner City Network, a Sean Moore Award from the South East and a Lord Mayor Scroll along with an event held in recognition of her long term dedication to young people and families struggling with addiction. She has introduced mindfulness as part of her work and day to day living. Teresa is strongly committed to delivering MBSR and continues to dedicate time in teaching the same.
