Mindfulness Practices
Whether you are new to mindfulness practice, or have taken a course already and wish to maintain or reignite your practice while connecting with others, there are a number of options available to you.
Getting started
Mindfulness is not a quick fix, something that you pick up and drop when you’ve finished it: it is a way of being, rather than an activity. As with any new skill, there are great advantages to learning and practising mindfulness with others and with the support of a trained and experienced teacher. Learning on a course is largely through experience and it includes both formal practices (teacher-led meditations) and guidance on how to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life after the course is over.
Drop-in Sessions
Many MTAI teachers offer live drop-in sessions, where you can join when the time is right. Here is a link to a list of teachers who offer drop-in sessions.
Most MBSR courses run by members also include follow-up access to recurring one day retreats.
Recorded Meditations
A number of meditations that you can follow along with are available from our YouTube account. Use the playlist categories to find the length of meditation you are looking for.
