About Fidelma
Approach, Philosophy and Specialisation
My approach is grounded in compassion, presence, and deep respect for each person’s unique experience. I offer a trauma-informed, inclusive, and client-centred space where mindfulness can be explored gently and safely. I specialise in integrating mindfulness into therapeutic work, particularly with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, and life transitions. I hold a strong interest in self-compassion, emotional regulation, and embodied awareness as foundations for healing and personal growth.
Professional Background
I hold an MSc in Mindfulness-Based Interventions from University College Dublin, a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Dip in Social Studies. I’m an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MIACP) and a registered teacher with the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland (MTAI).
Teaching Experience and Personal Mindfulness Practice
I bring over a decade of experience in therapeutic and community settings, working with diverse individuals across a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.
