About Sarah

I am a Dublin based mindfulness facilitator, mother of three, and someone who finds joy in lifes simple pleasures, nature, cooking, a good book, meaningful converstaions and laughter. I believe deeply in the power of presence, kindness and compassion. I endeavour not to take things or myself too seriously – because life is hard enough.
My path into mindfulness began during a profoundly difficult chapter in my life at the end of a 23 year marriage. At that time I felt overwhelmed and disconnected, struggling to manage even the most basic aspects of daily life suffering from anxiety and depression. Mindfulness became a lifeline. It offered me the tools and inner resources that allowed me to rebuild, slowly and steadily, one step at a time, from a place of uncertainty. Through practice I rediscovered strength, clarity and a sense of agency. I began to experience life with a renewed vitality and joy, finding meaning and purpose once again. This personal transformation inspired me to share mindfulness with others, particularly those facing difficulties coping with life or seeking deeper connection and resilience.

I trained to teach the dot.b curriculum part of the Mindfulness in Schools Project and began teaching in local secondary schools as well as local family resource centres. I went on to train as a children’s yoga teacher to integrate movement into my classes and also completed Susan Kaiser Greenland’s Activity Based Mindfulness for Kids programme. I currently work with children suffering from anxiety, behavioural issues and children who are neurodivergent. I love working with children and find teaching them mindfulness and skills to better understand themselves and regulate their emotions so fulfilling and heartwarming.
Since completing my Diploma in MBSR teacher training with the Mindfulness Centre Dublin, I regularly deliver courses to cancer patients in the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre Drogheda, clients of Stanhope St Addiction Centre, parents and children of the Parent Led Autism Network as well as in the local community and schools. As a total lover of nature I also run immersive walks/ hikes through Hush Hikes Dublin, where we get to practice mindfulness connecting with nature and ourselves, nourishing and restoring our whole being.
Serving as Director of Memberships . since 2023 on current MTAI Board of Directors.
