My own mindfulness experience goes back over 12 years ago, when I was asked to attend a silent weekend retreat. This first deep experience with stillness showed me that it was possible, if not easy, to be with myself with kindness and for tiny moments I experienced a quietening of the nonstop chatter in my extremely busy mind. I stayed on this journey and benefited very much from the 8 weeks MBSR course, being encouraged to practice every day. I noticed a change in my life and more freedom in my way of relation to the world around me. The journey led me to become a MBSR Teacher myself. Being able to give on these transformative life skills is something I am deeply grateful for. In recent years I have also developed creative wellbeing courses with mindfulness at the core.
