MTAI AGM 2026

This October 17th we will hold our first in-person AGM in 7 years. The AGM will be in The Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore.

The main event will kick off at 11 am, but guests are invited to start arriving from 10 am. We will do a mindful movement sessin and a welcome cup of tea. ​

Our theme this year is ‘A Moment of Mindfulness is a Moment for Mental Health’. We would particularly like to celebrate that fact that MTAI has become a member of Mental Health Reform. Thank you so much to our former chair Sarah-Jane Cullinane for her engagement with Mental Health Reform that led to us becoming a proud members of this network. Mental Health Reform has over 80 member organisations and is Ireland’s leading coalition on mental health. The goal of their work is to promote improved mental health services across the country. Their work aligns beautifully with MTAI’s intention to serve the well being of its members and the public we serve.

We are delighted to welcome our patron Tony Bates to join us at this year’s AGM to celebrate A Moment of Mindfulness. Tony has devoted his life to developing mental health reforms in Ireland.

Our guest speakers are Miriam Healy, currently a Prison Chaplain and a teacher at Grey Heron Zen Dublin and Jon Mc Keon, one of the founders of Kyrie Farm.

​The AGM is not only for those currently teaching MBIs, but for any member or student member who is interested in the application of mindfulness in any context in their work and personal lives. We need a diversity of experiences and perspectives!

​A carpooling sheet will be shared with those registered who would like to offer / receive a lift so there will be plenty of ways to get there by carpool or public transport with lifts from Tullamore.
