Mindfulness was recommended to me by my counsellor as I have a busy mind and I am a worrier. I have found the practise very beneficial in bringing peace of mind and acceptance. I have been practising mindful meditation for 11 years, since completing an MBSR course in 2010. I qualified as a teacher with the IMA in 2017. I have taught MBSR courses in Community Well, Donabate for a number of years, as well as Days of Mindfulness and weekly drop-in meditation sessions . I  teach Mindfulness Courses to adults in Malahide and Portmarnock Community Schools and facilitate weekly mindfulness sessions in a mental healthcare facility.
